MLG Canada Online Play
You’ve spent considerable time practicing on your own or competing in MLG Canada’s online ladders, and now you’ve decided it’s time to step it up a notch. MLG Canada’s Online Tournaments are your chance to get a taste of intense competition for cash prizes… all in the comfort of your own home. MLG’s online tournament rankings also assist your team in pre-event seeding to MLG Canada’s live events such as the upcoming 2007 Canadian Open, November 2nd-4th in Toronto, Ontario. The next level of online play will feature pay-to-play tournaments where you will be able to win prize money and build further on your competitive skills. The first set of online pay tournaments will cost 20 credits for each player on the team. 20 credits will range anywhere from $7 - $13 depending on how many credits you buy upfront from our shopping cart in the MLG Canada store. The store will be up and running in July, and paid tournaments will launch mid August. Prizes will be announced at registration time. MLG’s online ladders rankings do not affect your status or ranking for online tournaments or the MLG Canadian Open. Everyone is welcome to join online tournaments regardless of how well you do on the ladders. The primary purpose of the MLG Canada ladders is to elevate your game and prepare you for online tournament play where you can win big prizes. Even though a team may sign up for online tournaments before paying and without having a full roster, the team will not be registered and locked in if it is incomplete: either there are not enough team members or at least one of the members does not have enough tournament credits on his/her account and is not fully paid up. If an online tournament’s registration is full, you may sign up for the waitlist, or simply wait for the next wave of tournaments. As each tournament fills its registration, a new one will launch, so you’ll never have to wait long to hop into the action. Initial online tournaments games will include:
