Top 4 Finalists from Winnipeg: The top 4 finalists are players who have been chosen out of the competitors at each stop to be potential candidates for the fourth position on the AMP Pro team. Click on a link to see more about the player! Winnipeg Day Four The final day of the AMP Your Game National Gaming Tour had arrived at last! Last night was long and tiring for the Pro Team as well as the AMP crew. As soon as the tent doors closed, the Halo 3 gaming action did not stop there. Inside, TVs lit up the dark room and the noises and cheers of gamers roared through the air. The AMP crew enjoyed a little bit of extra gaming time, picking up and learning how to play Halo for the first time. As for the Pro Team, they were able to sneak in some more LAN practice with more local gamers who were willing to stay up late into the night for some competitive Halo 3 gaming. By 2:00 a.m., it was time to catch up on some sleep in preparation for another long day of MORE Halo 3 action. SirLagzAlot, Like Percision, AlexTong, KillOut and coach WPG KillerDope Bright and early, the Pro Team made their way to the tent to practice and warm up for the day. After a couple of hours of playing, the final showdown of Winnipeg’s “Search for the Pro” contest began. First to take the hot spot as the Pro Team’s fourth was WPG KillerDope. The objective games for this event were: KOTH on the Pit, MLG Guardian Oddball and MLG CTF on Narrows. AlexTong, The Bo, G-SpOt, Alpha XFactor For six hours straight, the Pro Team and final six competitors played round after round. Through the day, statistics were recorded every game for every player. Everyone did their best to communicate and show the best of their abilities, and after a tiresome day of Halo 3, everyone had hoped that their performance was enough to make it to final four. After the six and final round of the “Search for the Pro” contest finished, it was off to review how the day went. Alpha XFactor, G-SpOt and The Bo left the gaming arena and made their way to the greenroom to examine and evaluate today’s final showdown. After reviewing the stats of each player and discussing who meshed and performed well with the team, the four of had been chosen. It was back to the AMP Your Game tent to announce the winners of the “Search for the Pro” contest. With another week of the AMP Your Game National Gaming Tour completed, it is time to head to the city where the biggest mall in North America stands: Edmonton, Alberta. Winnipeg Day ThreeAfter two successful days of the AMP Your Game National Gaming Tour kicking off at its fifth stop in Winnipeg, Manitoba, it was time for the third day to begin. Unfortunately, with the weather not on anyone’s side, the day did not go as planned. High winds and rain made it difficult for the tent to maintain stability on the ground. So, unfortunately, due to weather conditions the AMP Your Game National Gaming Tour tent closed off for a few hours to make sure everyone stayed safe and sheltered from the wind and rain. Since we are on tour in an ‘outdoor venue’ it was to be expected that eventually the weather may wreck havoc with our jolly white tent.![]() View of the tent after the weather calmed down. The Pro Team grabbed their evaluation sheets and began walking around where they took notes, recorded stats and rated the player on communication, teamwork, knowledge of map, etc. Many hours passed and finally, after all 16 competitors had been judged and evaluated, the Pro Team left the room and discussed their choices for the final six. Thus, the six of 16 players were announced and would move on to play in the final round with the Pro Team on Sunday. Three days of intense Halo 3 action down, and one more to go! Sunday would be the final and longest day of them all, but in the end, the final four of Winnipeg would be chosen and reign as Winnipeg’s winners of the “Search for the Pro” contest. Winnipeg Day Two Covered in mosquito bites from last night, the AMP crew and Pro Team returned to the tent of the AMP Your Game National Gaming Tour to see what was in store for Day 2. The gaming stations were powered up, and the Halo 3 arena was ready for its competitive gamers to enjoy a little bit of open play before the real business starts later in the evening for the “Search for the Pro” contest. After the final “Search for the Pro” FFA finished, more gamers jumped on the stations to enjoy a bit of Halo 3 before the night ended. Finally, the 16-player roster for Saturday’s 4v4 has been completed. Tomorrow will be a long day as the final 16 players of Winnipeg prove what they are all about. With being marked and evaluated on communication, teamwork and overall performance, there surely is no room for slackers; it is time to see who the best of the best out there is. Winnipeg Day OneAnother week has flown by and just like that the AMP Your Game National Gaming Tour has successfully completed its fourth stop. After enjoying an entire week back home in Toronto, it was time for the Pro Team and the AMP crew to leave the city once more, and head west to the ‘prairie provinces’ of our nation. Bright and early on Monday morning with the white tent and the gaming stations packed away into the 18-wheeler truck, everyone made themselves comfortable for the longest drive yet so far. After thirteen hours of driving in one day, making a pit stop in Marathon, Ontario for the night, and another twelve hours the second day, the AMP Your Game National Gaming Tour finally arrived in Winnipeg. With no time to spare, it was right to work with setting up the tent and its gaming stations inside for another long week of gaming.

Thursday afternoon came very quickly and the doors to the AMP Your Game National Gaming Tour opened up for all the Winnipeg casual gamers and professional hopefuls for the “Search for the Pro” competition. The crowd of gamers gathered inside of the tent, and as the day went on, more and more joined the others in getting their taste of the ultimate gaming experience. Once again, the “Search for the Pro” contest was underway and another four players would dominate the field, and rise to the top as Winnipeg’s Halo 3 champions and finalists for the “Search for the Pro”.
Halo 3 Friendly matches. So, the first day of the Free-For-All began and only eight finalists from the day would be able to advance and compete in the next round. After hours of gaming and intense FFA action between the competitors, the final eight emerged and made their name known by guaranteeing their place in the next round of the “Search for the Pro” contest.
Gamers hop onto the Halo 3 stations for some gaming time. The second day of Winnipeg’s “Search for the Pro” contest at the AMP Your Game National Gaming Tour would be the last chance for the remaining hopefuls to fill the final eight for Saturday’s 4v4 round. Another long day will no doubt be in store for the challengers, and the pro team.
