The day started off like any other regular Sunday for the AMP Your Game National Gaming Tour, the top players and Pro Team arrived early in the morning to practice and get the final showdown on the road. Once the doors opened for the last time in Calgary, the “Search for the Pro” contest was underway. St. Morphine took the fourth position of the Pro Team while Importedd, Mars, Gesus Crak3r, Koopa and coach Kosmic stood on the opposite side ready for as intense day of Halo 3 to begin. On this day, the finalists and Pro Team would endure rounds of CTF Narrows, KOTH Pit and Guardian Oddball.  Koopa, Importedd, St. Morphine, Mars and Gesus Crak3r Halfway through the final showdown of the “Search for the Pro” competition, the sky turned completely dark and the sound of thunder roared through the air. In a matter of moments, the sunny day was gone and a dark, dismal day had formed. High winds clashed against the tent walls as pouring rain fell harshly down onto the tent. The power cut out and the gaming stations in the AMP Your Game National Gaming Tour were no longer running. No sounds were heard except for the wind blowing severely against the tent and the raindrops pouring down. Having to travel across Canada from city to city, it came as no surprise that the weather was one day not going to be favorable. The tent was immediately evacuated for safety reasons.  Pro Team and Kosmic vs. The Amateur Team Shortly after, the booming sounds of lightning, rain and wind disappeared and the sky was clear blue. So the final showdown of the “Search for the Pro” contest went on! Throughout the tent, strained voices and deadly BR shots rang through the air. After six rounds were completed, the last day of the competition in Calgary was over. It was a tiresome day for all, especially the final six, and it was all up to the Pro Team to come to their final decision on which were the best four of Calgary. The Pro Team scurried away to review stats and discuss their final thoughts and opinions of the day. The top four of Calgary had been decided! After enduring a long week of FFAs, 4v4s and six hours of gaming with the Pro Team, the players proved their skill and teamwork stood out from the rest. After a long week of non-stop gaming and enduring another harsh weather attack, the seventh stop of the AMP Your Gane National Gaming Tour is completed. The end of the “Search for the Pro” contest is near. There have been 28 finalists chosen with only eight more to go! Calgary Day ThreeThursday and Friday were very long and tiresome days for players participating in the “Search for the Pro” competition. Having to engage in intense and fast-paced battles in many rounds of FFA, the players that were able to rack up the most kills and dominate through the brackets rose to the top. Now everything was set into place for Saturday’s 4v4 play. The AMP Your Game National Gaming Tour opened its doors once again and welcomed its fellow casual and serious gamers inside.

Twenty-four well-known gamers from Thursday and Friday entered into the tent early and eager to get the second round of the “Search for the Pro” contest started. Unlike the past two days, the competitors would be tested under a completely different environment. Now being individually assessed on their teamwork ability and skills, each competitor had to shine when the spotlight was on them. The Pro Team was ready to see what Calgary could offer to their team.
Halo 4v4 contestants working together. After numerous hours of observing each player in the competition, G-SpOt, Alpha XFactor and The Bo were set in deciding the final six players of Calgary. Not only would they now compete for the top ranks for the “Search for the Pro” contest, but also for a chance to join the Pro Team and their pursuit to be the best of the best in Halo 3.
Halo 4v4 action. So, after many intense matches, the final six were chosen. Unfortunately, DDC Frosty and MLG Klark Kent of Edmonton were not able to qualify into the final round but definitely showed that they had the determination and skill to make it into the second round once again. The six players that would advance to the final showdown on Sunday were: Top Six of Calgary (No Specific Order) 1. Gesus Crak3r 2. Importedd 3. Kosmic 4. St. Morphine 5. Mars 6. Koopa There it is! The final six of Calgary had been chosen, proving that they were best Calgary had to offer by dominating through the FFA with ease and shining in the spotlight for the 4v4 challenge. Calgary Day Two Day 1 of the AMP Your Game National Gaming Tour’s “Search for the Pro” contest was a very successful day where 16 players were able to make their name and skill known by conquering the Free-For-All field and advancing to the next round on Saturday. The doors opened for Day 2 of the gaming tour and many curious onlookers made their way into the tent. After experiencing rough weather of hail and high winds in Edmonton, the reduced size of the tent did not affect the number of people entering in and out of it. Casual and serious gamers were ‘amped up’ and ready to game.  Calgary gamers try their luck in Wii Tennis against CFL player Dave Dickenson and Pro Gamer Nelson Triana. Special guest and local CFL player, Dave Dickenson from the Calgary Stampeders arrived at the AMP Your Game National Gaming Tour for a fun gaming experience. Nelson Triana (G-SpOt) stood up to the plate and decided this time he would have some fun with the CFL pro in a game of Wii Tennis. For the next hour or so, Dave and Nelson enjoyed the competition and later on, joined up to challenge gamers from the event for doubles. All in all, Dickenson seemed to enjoy his gaming experience at the AMP Your Game Tour.  Halo 3 FFA gaming arena.
So, second chance Halo 3 contestants, DDC Frosty and GlxyDS (MLG Klark Kent), along with the six other winners of Friday’s FFA were able to snag a spot into the next round for Saturday’s 4v4. With 24 players competing in the second round, the competition was surely going to be tough. Calgary Day One In the span of just a few hours on Monday morning, the AMP Your Game National Gaming Tour and its crew had made their way south to the city of Calgary, Alberta. It was a short drive and with time to spare for the next couple of days, everyone took advantage of their rest period to venture off and explore the latest destination. On Monday and Tuesday, the Pro Team decided it was time to get down to business. After gathering some locals from Calgary, the Pro Team was able to practice Halo 3 on LAN for countless hours over the next two nights. Soon enough, Wednesday rolled by and it was time to set the tent up at the Eau Claire Market for the seventh stop on the AMP Your Game National Gaming Tour.  People flood around the sign-up sheets.
