AMP Your Game National Gaming Tour has finished its run across Canada!
It has been a long two months since the AMP Your Game Tour kicked off its first event in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Although the tour was very tiring and involved a lot of hard work and long days, it was certainly an amazing adventure overall. Having it be the first, and biggest national video game tour in Canada, there were a lot of expectations, yet after the first stop had been completed, the nerves and worries were all washed away. It was a very successful summer and it could not have gone any better than it did. Thousands upon thousands of gamers from across the Country were finally united into one gaming arena. It was one of the most pleasant sights to see when casual and serious gamers gathered around the gaming stations, just doing what they love to do: Game. Whether it was playing on the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 or Nintendo Wii, everyone was able to enjoy the ultimate gaming experience that the AMP Your Game National Gaming Tour was able to offer. Also, for the first time for many - casual gamers or first time competitive gamers coming out to an event – people of all ages were introduced and able to see a little into competitive gaming. People were able to get a little look and insight at how competitive gaming is becoming bigger and well, is just plain fun.
So, with the "Search for the Pro" competition drawing to a close and the top players from each city chosen, the AMP Team will soon make their final announcement at MLG Toronto as to who their fourth will be. The AMP Team have a tough decision before them. 36 quality gamers from across the country have given up their time to show the AMP Team what they have to bring to the team. With gaming organizations such as Ford Major League Gaming Canada only getting bigger and better, getting paid to play games professionally is becoming a viable career option, with so much more to it than just sitting in a room with a controller in hand.
