The MLG News Team got a coach’s perspective on professional gaming, when we talked to cLiPsE, who commands FBI Bloodline - a Rainbow 6 competitor. The main objectives of a coach are to navigate and motivate for his or her team. They have the ability to view every screen at once and call out opposition positions and help their team out. The coach must also psyche the team up and help them rebound from kills, as well as practice just as hard as the players to learn the maps and strategies used in play.
FBI Bloodline has players from all over the East coast of the United States, and have separately competed in many MLG competitions before, but this is their first time playing together. cLiPsE is enjoying the Canadian Open 07, because of how many interesting booths and events are going on throughout the venue. |
